Things To Do In Seville Spain

1. Seville Walking Tour

Seville Spain   I think one of the best ways to start off your time in a new place is to find a walking tour that visits some of the main attractions in the area you are visiting. There are lots of FREE walking tours in Europe that are especially great for the budget travellers out there like myself. Walking tours are a great way to learn about the history, see some amazing sights, and even meet other travellers. This is exactly how I spent the morning of my first day in Seville Spain.   I recommend booking a free Seville Walking Tour that visits…
  • Plaza de España
  • Torre del Oro
  • Bullring of the Real Maestranza de Caballeria of Sevilla
  • Cathedral of Sevilla
  • Giralda
  • Alcazar of Seville
There are lots of companies that have free walking tours around Seville. Check out GuruWalks or FreeTours to book a walking tour. The walking tour I went on in Seville was the Essential Free Tour in Seville by the company White Umbrella.

2. Royal Alcazar of Seville

Royal Alcazar   The Royal Alcazar Seville is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. The Royal Alcazar is a beautiful building filled with breathtaking architecture, amazing art, and huge gardens surrounding the building. You can easily spend a couple of hours exploring the Alcazar and the grounds around it.   If you plan to visit the Royal Alcazar make sure you book your tickets in advance. You can book tickets from companies like GetYourGuide or Headout for an affordable price. The ticket that I purchased was called “Skip-the-Line Entry Tickets to Alcázar ” and I got my tickets on headout. You don’t need to spend more money to get Skip-the-line but the regular lines can get pretty long and you may have to wait a bit so decide based on your plans for the rest of the day in Seville.

3. Plaza de Espana

Plaza de Espana   Plaza de Espana Seville is another popular spot to visit during your trip to Seville. The Spanish Square is a beautiful building that many people visit to walk around and take in the views. To top off this amazing sight in Seville is the fact that you do not need to pay anything to visit and walk around it is FREE!

4. Catedral de Sevilla

The Cathedral of Seville is another top spot many people will visit when travelling to Seville Spain. Sights in Seville including Seville Cathedral, La Giralda, and the Royal Alcazar are all very close to one another and are usually a spot on most walking tours of Seville. It is completely up to you whether you admire the Seville Cathedral from the outside or purchase a ticket to go inside as well.   If you plan to visit Seville Cathedral, La Giralda, AND the Royal Alcazar I would highly recommend looking into combo tickets, that give you access to all three. You can find these tickets on GetYourGuide. If you are just interested in visiting the Cathedral of Seville and La Giralda click here to purchase a ticket.

5. La Giralda Seville

La Giralda is the bell tower in the Seville Cathedral. If you purchase a combo ticket for the Seville Cathedral and La Giralda you can walk up the bell tower and at the top you have an amazing view overlooking Seville.

6. Watch a Flamenco Show

Flamenco Seville   When you travel to Spain you MUST go a see a Flamenco Show. Flamenco is a famous performance that originated in Spain. These shows include dancing, singing, and guitar playing. The show I went to see was in Seville Spain and it was amazing.   The show I went to in Seville was called Seville: Live Flamenco Dancing Show Ticket at the Theater. I bought my ticket from GetYourGuide and it was super affordable for an hour-long performance.

7. Eat Spanish Churros

Spanish desserts   Churros are a popular dessert in Spain and you must time them at least once while travelling Spain. Churros in Spain are a bit different than the churros I have had back home in Canada but they were good. The churros served in Spain are commonly served with a chocolate sauce. I tried this dessert while I was in Seville Spain at Kukuchurro. You need to add eating churros to your Spanish bucket list.

8. Day Trip to Ronda

Ronda   This last thing to do in Seville Spain is not technically in Seville but I still wanted to include it because it is an amazing day trip from Seville Spain. For those travelling to Seville that have an extra day you need to plan a day trip to Ronda. Ronda is about a 3-hour bus ride from Seville but worth it to see the views in Ronda.   There are a few different ways to visit Ronda from Seville. If you are renting a car you can drive yourself and it will take you around 2 hours instead of a 3-hour bus. Getting bus tickets for the public bus is very easy and the option I chose when visiting Ronda. I booked my bus ticket on Omio for around  30 euros roundtrip. The other option is to book a tour from Seville to visit Ronda. Tours are the more expensive option but if you want to learn more about the history of Ronda and don’t want to organize this day trip yourself tours are a great option. There are lots of day trips to Ronda on GetYourGuide.   If you are planning a day trip I highly recommend you visit these top sights in Ronda…
  • The New Bridge (Centro de Interpretación del Puente Nuevo)
  • Bullring of the Royal Cavalry of Ronda
  • Jardines de Cuenca
  • Arco de Felipe V
  • La Casa del Rey Moro
  • Mondragon Palace

That brings us to the end of the top 8 things to do in Seville Spain. These are things I really enjoyed doing and visiting during my trip to Seville and I hope enjoy them as well. Have an amazing trip to Seville Spain and safe travels!
