Page, Arizona must be added to your travel bucket list if you plan a trip to Arizona. Page has so many amazing sights and here are some of the top ones I recommend you see during your visit.

Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend is a must-see if you are in Page. This lookout is located just off Highway 89. Click here to see the Google Maps location of Horseshoe Bend. To get to the Horseshoe Bend lookout you have to pay $10 USD to access the parking lot. From the parking lots, it is around a 10-minute walk to the lookout. The views are great but be prepared for crowds of tourists. If you want to avoid the crowds I recommend you visit earlier in the morning or later at night.

Canyon X Tour

The Antelope Canyons are one of the most famous attractions in Page, Arizona. These beautiful canyons are absolutely breathtaking. There are three canyons, there is Lower Antelope Canyon, Upper Antelope Canyon, and Canyon X. All of these canyons require you to be part of a tour to visit them. The most affordable canyon to visit is Canyon X and this canyon still has amazing views just like the other Antelope Canyons. These tours are led by those parts of the Navajo Nation as it is their land where these canyons are located. With these tours, you will be guided and taught about the canyons and the Navajo people. It’s a great experience I highly recommend it.

Warning While Travelling around Arizona

I cannot write a blog post about Page, Arizona and not let you know about the time changes. Throughout Arizona, there is a lot of reserve land and for this reason, while you are driving or walking around Page your clock time will change. If you are unaware of this like we were you might have a heart attack when you look down at your watch and you think you are about to miss your Canyon X tour. Just make sure you keep this in mind especially if you have any tours like Antelope Canyon to check what time the tour time is based on.

Visit Lake Powell/ Glen Canyon Dam

Lake Powell is another popular spot to visit. This large lake stretches from Utah to Arizona. You can rent a boat, go swimming, or do other water sports, or you can just find a nice lookout point to see the beautiful views of Lake Powell.

If you are visiting Lake Powell in Page you will also be super close to the Glen Canyon Dam. You can get a great view of the dam if you walk along the bridge right next to the dam. If you don’t have time to stop you can still get great views driving over the bridge.

Walk to the Hanging Gardens

The Hanging Gardens is a spot along the canyon walls where greenery and plants are growing. To get to the Hanging Gardens, if you are heading south on Highway 89, you will turn left right after to cross Glen Canyon Dam Bridge. The trail to reach the hanging gardens is just over 1.0 (2.3 km round trip) and it is a pretty flat and easy walk.

Visit the Navajo Bridge

Another great spot to visit is the Navajo Bridge. These bridges overlook the beautiful river underneath. You can read and learn about the history of the bridge and a bit about the Navajo people. If you are heading to the Vermilion Cliffs from Glen Canyon Dam or Horseshoe Bend you will most likely pass this bridge on your drive.

Honourable Mention: Vermilion Cliffs

I myself did not make it to the Vermilion Cliffs but we attempted. I recommend you learn from me and do some research on where you want to visit and what hikes you want to do at the Vermilion Cliffs. Hikes such as The Wave use a lottery system to determine who receives permits. Also, prepare for the road to get to the Vermilion Cliffs. It is a gravel and very bumpy road to the Vermilion cliffs so make sure your car is able to make it. If you prepare more than us you will be good and I’m sure you will have a wonderful time.

Hope this was helpful for anyone planning a trip to Page, Arizona. Hopefully, you can add some of these amazing spots to your travel itinerary. Have an amazing trip and safe travels.
